Mrs Lucy Culshaw would like all the people at Kingsfold to know of the sad news regarding her son John

Sadly the drug Sunitinib has stopped working after 14 months, and my eldest son John's cancer has started to spread again. He has been offered another drug which will give him worse side effects than those he has already suffered, and has decided to just get on with what life he has left. The estimate given is 2 - 5 years. His wife, Brenda, has multiple sclerosis, but they are both soldiering on and cramming as much as possible into their lives so that they don't look back and say "I wish I'd done that". They came to visit me from Nottingham yesterday and two of his brothers and their wives, who live nearby, joined us in the evening for a meal at the Walton Fox and we enjoyed a happy evening together.
